Signposting is about the client taking (or being given) responsibility for contacting other organisations to help them resolve their problem. Listed below are some useful guides where you can obtain help and guidance for your issues.

Rainbow Mind: Help for the LGBT Community 

Rainbow Mind service is specifically for LGBTQ+ people, who are more likely to suffer from mental health issues, with 44% having suicidal thoughts in comparison to only 26% of heterosexual, non-trans people. Under IAPT service they offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, CBT and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Outside of their IAPT service, they run regular 8 week Radical Self Care courses (focusing on Mindfulness and Self-Compassion) and also offer a general psychotherapy service. The majority of their services are currently offered online. GP’s, other healthcare professionals, and individuals are able to make a referral for a patient via this link Referral to Rainbow Mind.

Wellbeing Signposts for those working in the Health and Social Care Sector

City & Hackney Family Nurse Partnership

Family Nurse Partnership is a voluntary home visiting programme for first time young mothers (and fathers) aged 19 or under. A specially trained family nurse visits the young mother regularly, from early in pregnancy until the child is two. Please ask your midwife, GP, healthcare professional about FNP or ring the service directly on 020 7241 7857.

Tenants Advice

This service assists residents in the local area who are living in properties in disrepair. They can be contacted on 0800 047 2017 or by WhatsApp on 07934 852505. This a free service for clients but please clarify the conditions of engagement beforehand.
